Freaking out!

Heather, on August 25, 2019 at 2:02 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 3
We are 26 days out. For the most part- everything seems to be coming together nicely.
But... we just went out to the venue yesterday at our ceremony start time (3:30pm) and it’s going to be SO freakin HOT Smiley sad like 90 degrees, possibly hotter. There isn’t a lot of shade out there. I am out of money as far as renting a tent... and there are no indoor options unless I change the whole wedding venue! (Not possible)

Even if we started a smidge later- here in California it just gets hotter at 5pm/6pm

I'm stressing about a day of timeline.
We have a lot of people to get ready that morning.
1 bride
8 bridesmaids
2 mother’s
we are all having our hair and makeup done.

We need to be at the venue earlier than the ceremony obviously for pictures... and that is going to be HOT and prob direct sun. What the heck were we thinking starting at 3:30pm?!
aaaaahhh!

after the ceremony we will take family and bride/groom pics- and that will still be hot direct sun.
Man oh man I can’t wait until this is all over. Losing my mind with all the stress Smiley sad

Take a deep breath. There isn’t anything you can do now. Ask for airbrush makeup if you can. It really stands up well in the heat. I got married on the beach in May and it was hot. Small fans for your guests would be great and they are inexpensive. Take a quick break inside before going back out to do photos. Also make sure you have someone to assist your photographer who knows everyone and can keep things moving quickly. Drink lots of water the night before and that morning to stay hydrated. Good luck.

    Hey Heather!

As Cyndy mentioned, there isn’t anything that you can do to change the weather so you will just have to take some measures to ensure that you are as comfortable in the heat as possible.

Drink plenty of water the day before and the morning of your wedding while you are getting ready.

If you are worried about your makeup, discuss this with your MUA. They will be able to offer practical suggestions on how to keep your makeup looking fresh as long as possible.

Also, if you can do so, try and leave a little extra time before your ceremony so that you don’t have to rush around too much.

    Everything will go beautifully!!

Ooh girl I can feel your energy all the way in North Carolina! Remember, if you get hot you can always take a minute to cool down. Fans are a great idea and with some inginuity can fit in with any theme seamlessly. Also maybe a few dainty white parasols for you and the bridesmaids? Just to keep the direct sun off for the most part.
Also harsh lighting is very trendy right now. Maybe talk to your photographer about how you can use it to your advantage?
