I have yet to pick a hairstyle I love and have not found a makeup artist yet.😭 wedding is in October and I feel like I’m so far behind on everything. I also have four daughters who need hair done for the day of. Where did you ladies find your hair/makeup artists?

I found mine through a search for makeup artists, after totally stalking their instagram feeds or looking at their portfolios!

I chose a few I liked, and inquired to get an idea of price, and went with one who was a reasonable cost, available, and who did a good trial.

I did my own makeup because I did a good job on doing it on my own. Hiring a makeup artist is too expensive. I got my hair done at a local hair salon days before the wedding and I touched it up on my wedding day

I am using our venues preferred hair and makeup artist. I am glad we did because they are awesome! Maybe ask your vendors if they have any recommendations as they all work very closely together.

I would agree....check with your vendor, they may have a preferred vendor. I live in PA but got married in FL so I had to book long distance with no trials. I waited until the last minute (3 weeks before my wedding) to book because I was initially thinking I'd do it myself and I'm sooooo glad I found my artist! I just did a vendor search, scoured websites and reviews and social media. I loved the work she had featured all over her site and I went with specific pictures and ideas of what I wanted and she nailed it!! As far as finding what you like......think about how you'd want to wear your hair and makeup if you were going out to a dinner tomorrow and go a notch beyond that. What's your dress and overall theme like?? Soft and romantic? Super formal? Casual, etc... I got married on the beach with a more relaxed vibe and 50 people so I knew I wanted side swept hair to stay out of my face with flowers but nothing too formal or fancy. I like makeup so I told her glam but let's keep in mind I'm at the beach. Hope this helps!

Try a local salon, that’s what I did. It was a quarter Of the price I got quoted for make up artist alone. I paid $165 for my hair and make up.

Go on Instagram for your area. Do a search for wedding makeup artists and wedding hairstylists. Get a trial with the ones you like their styles best.
