Freaking out about dress/bustle

Alyssa, on October 6, 2019 at 3:22 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10
Ok, so I bought my dress about a month ago-and I love it. I purchased it when my mom was in town and i didn’t have the over the top “say yes to the dress/crying” reaction I expected. I just didn’t want to take it off.

Now im looking at pictures and freaking out because I love the train but hate how there lace comes from a single point near my butt. And I’m also freaking out because I neglected to ask the consultant how it would look when bustled, which is how it will look more of the time.

Someone talk me down. Help me figure out how the bustle may look?!

I think it's gorgeous! And totally normal to stare at photos and critique it and find little things you're not crazy about (I did/am doing the same thing). You just have to take a break from looking at it, because as soon as you put it back on those wonderful feelings will come flooding back! And yes, a good seamstress will make your bustle look great. It helps that the skirt is lace, from what I've seen that really helps camouflage the bustle points.

    Ok, thank you 😊

I custom ordered the length so the lace pattern won't have to be cut short in alterations (I’m 5’2” and wearing flats) and ordered it in white, not ivory-so I’m also freaking out about how the final gown will look overall. Thanks for making me realize I’m not the only one nit picking post purchase Smiley smile

The dress is styled that way to give the appearance and more of an hourglass figure.

I think that it looks beautiful but at the end of the day it is whatever your heart is telling you to do!

I wish you luck and I hope you keep us updated with your final decision!

Actually I don’t like the chest of the dress at all, it was way too low and I was wearing a bra with it, that’s going to be altered to be way more conservative.

I didn't see it was that low but are you gonna get a sheer nude that matches & put it there in the low area..
