Freaking out a little bit

CarrieLynn, on December 12, 2017 at 11:50 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 14

I'm in the waiting room and I am freaking out, just need to vent. This may be incredibly vain, but I am 3 days away from the best day ever, the day when more pics will be taken of me than ever, and for the last month I have been battling this horrible rash on my eye that no doctor seems to be able to explain. This is the 4th dr to take a look at it. They've given me shots, scripts, and creams. The first cream made it much worse (apparently I am allergic to erythromycin all of a sudden), the shot helped but it came back, and here I am, waiting to see what this doc's guess is.

Are you feeling extra stressed? I get stress hives from time to time, and nothing medicinal works on it. I just have to relax and clear my head. Try not to freak out!

For a short term solution can you get the shot again the day before/morning if the wedding? So it goes away for the photos and comes back the day after, then you can go back to figuring it out?

Maybe ask your doc about Benadryl? Usually good for hives or other allergic issues (which are often the cause for a rash). I wish you luck in finding a solution.

I wish you the best of luck! I would just encourage you to be as open with your doctor and try to de-stres as much as possible. No matter what you're about to marry your best friend and that's pretty great Smiley smile

I've gotten styes before from stress. Hopefully this is something that will easily be taken care of.

A drastic measure may be some sort of steroid medication, have you tried that yet? If it's only taken for a few days there shouldn't be any big risks.

I was having the same type of thing! I started getting this weird rash on my eye that i’ve never had before and it just wouldn’t go away! I finally realized it was an eye cream that I started using months ago that I was only slightly allergic to but it had built up. It’s taken a week but it is finally all gone (just in time too!).

Here’s hoping they can figure it out today! Good luck!

Everything is checked off my to do list, all my clothes for the honey moon are even in a separate part of my closet just waiting to be packed (we aren't leaving until 12/31). Literally, all I have left to do is sit and wait. I really don't feel stressed right now. Since last Wed, I have felt the least stressed of the entire year. (Until my eye swelled up again Smiley sad that is) I'm really excited tho. I get to see a lot of people I haven't seen in a while.

I took Benadryl last night, it didn't do much. Just made me sleep really good.

My plan is to get the shot, but I'm not sure I can get it again since I just got it last week. Just get me thru the weekend!!

    Hopefully this doctor can help!

I started getting eczema on my eyelids this summer when I was feeling extra stressed/anxious. Hopefully your's is something as simple as that. Try to relax and remember you are marrying your best friend soon!

Did the doctors say what it is? If its a sty, put hot black tea bags on it. It draws out the infection.

Get a massage if you can to help....though you consciously don't feel stressed....stress will show in other ways

    Urgh...hoping for the best!

Sounds like you have a great attitude n will enjoy your day regardless : ) Afterwards, you can ask your photog to pay extra attention to how your eyes look...maybe they can retouch if it's even needed...you don't know that it would be yet or not.

Ask for a medication for anxiety. That will help more than Benadryl

Everyone gave great advice ^^! Also, maybe try talking to your makeup artist about what she can do for the problem maybe even squeeze you in for a last minute trial just to see what your options are ? I know its not a solution but might make you feel better? Hope it clears up and congrats on your wedding!!
