Congrats and welcome. I would do a google search or even use the vendor tool from this app as it is helpful. Although before anything sit down with the FH and discuss a budget because some wedding planners can charge a pretty penny so make sure you have the money to afford one. I used Pinterest a lot for ideas just on even things like how to throw an affordable reception etc...

Thanks so much for your help. I started on Pinterest and using the app as well. I guess I'm overthinking it because I'm in the beginning stages and just nervous about everything.

Oh that won't go away lol. There will always be second guessing and it is because we see this as a big day. One thing that helped me was also deciding and you should discuss with your FH what is more important in regards to budget. For example I was not willing to break the bank on a venue but photography was so I am willing to spend a bit more there.

Hi and congratulations! I’m in the same boat, located in Charleston and engaged in December. Our wedding date is 09.25.2020. I have found this platform extremely helpful and user friendly. Besides the forums, I love the budget tracker and checklist. I don’t have a wedding planner but I have hired a day-of coordinator. I really would love to do DIY everything the day of, but realistically, I want to be able to enjoy the day and not be running around everywhere. Feel free to message me if you’d like the contact information of who I’m using for day-of. I did a lot of research and “shopping around” to find someone who fit in our budget. Congratulations and happy planning!

    Hi Kristin,

Congrats on your engagement as well. Thank you for the information. I will surely take the information you are willing to offer. I've been using this platform as well as The Knot and my wedding planner book. So any and everything will help. Being a working mom to a teen with his extracurricular activities really has me forgetting to keep up with things and I don't want to miss a beat. Thanks again and happy planning.
