Foundations that photograph well in natural lighting? (for engagement photoshoot)

Everyone is different, but I personally always use Giorgio Armani‘s luminous silk in shade 6. I wouldn’t use any SPF under my foundation for pictures. Make up forever also makes an amazing HD concealer! I would also suggest layering with cream highlighters and bronzers.
Also a Really great and inexpensive primer is NYX hydration primer if you’re on a tight budget! For photos I would suggest layering and putting on a layer of cream highlighter at your high points underneath your foundation. I typically like to mix a little bit of my primer and a little bit of highlighter boost with my Armani foundation as well to cut it down so I can layer even better end it gives a really amazing glow

Also, Armani luminous silk is not a full coverage foundation, however it is an extremely buildable foundation. So as long as you layer it properly, it will give you full coverage without that heavier cake up close look like a Mac foundation gives.

Go to Ulta or Sephora and get all your makeup specific to high definition photography.

Wow this is great makeup advice, thank you so much!! I've heard great things about that foundation, however I'm a bit nervous to try as my forehead can get pretty oily and I don't want a luminous foundation to make it look worse! I'm going to get a sample of it from Sephora to try out though. Thank you!!

I second the Laura Mercier setting powder!! My go to holy grail foundation (in terms of looking very natural, non-cakey) is Second Skin by Beauty Naturals. It’s insanely cheap... but don’t let that deter you. It out performs all my $50-150 foundations

Oh and I forgot to mention you can order color samples to figure out what color you need (and just whether you like the foundation in general) before committing to a full-size bottle

Definitely go ask for samples at sephora/a department store!

My absolute favourites for photos is Estee Lauder double wear (which dries down and lasts for SO LONG) and the newest one I've just bought which is a little pricier but still totally worth it - Dior Forever Skin Glow or Natural Nude foundations - I tried both and they are beautiful.

View Quoted Comment I actually discovered the brand from a social media makeup influencer! I will be honest, I was fully expecting the price to reflect the quality of the product. Which is why I ordered the samples first (and to see if they matched my skin tone of course). But I was completely shocked when I tried it! I know everybody’s skin is different, but this is hands-down the best product I have ever used for my skin. I don’t think I will ever use another foundation again.
