Foundation for oily skin

AlmostMrs.Grindle, on March 14, 2018 at 7:32 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 11
I have decided to do my own makeup. I have foundations that I'm reasonably pleased with for day to day wear, but I'm looking for something with nice coverage that's really going to last through the day with minimal touch ups.

I have oily skin as well. I use Too Faced foundation. However, what I have found to be extremely helpful is using a good primer and then using a setting spray when you are done. I love Urban Decay’s DeSlick setting spray. It is amazing.

Estée Lauder double wear foundation works great with my oily skin.. A little pricey but it looks amazing in photos and stays on all day.

Oily skin here as well. Too Faced has been pretty good but the one thing I noticed is that it creates creases along my smile lines and very minimal creases under my eyes from smiling. You can blend it out so that the creases go away, but that's the only complaint I have about Too Faced foundation. Other than that, it's a very smooth foundation.

I also have a liking toward Fenty Beauty (really, any product of Fenty). I wear the matte foundation and it's pretty darn good.

You can find both of these foundations at Sephora. Obviously, they're a little on the pricier side but well worth it, for me, for formal occasions as I will typically just stick to Maybelline's BB Cream any other day.

I’m oily and TooFaced always creases for me and Fenty oxidizes on my right away 😩

i use Smashbox foundation WITH Smashbox Photofinish Primer (the original one), and then either set it with Esteé Lauder setting powder, and/or spray with Urban Decay “De-slick” oil control setting spray. If you really need some heavy duty anti-oil makeup I do all of the above but also use an Oil Mattifier cream from Mary Kay underneath my primer as well.

I have oily skin as well, what works best for me is Dr Brandts Pores no More primer, then either Estee Lauder Double wear or Kat Von D lock it foundation, then Lorac Porefection powder foundation on top of the liquid, then It cosmetics setting powder and Urban Decay De-Slick setting spray. My face will stay matte (not oily) for at least 8 hours

I'm really be leaning toward Estee Lauder double wear, but I've read a lot of reviews saying it has flashback. I'm having and evening wedding so I'm not sure if our photographer will be using flash. Also, the added cost of a pump annoys me. Lol.

I love the Too Faced born this way foundation. Fenty foundation also works really well. A good matte primer and setting spray will help a lot too!

I also have very oily skin and I like the Fenty makeup, I use the matte foundation. For a primer I like the Boscia Porefecting White Charcoal Mattifying Treatment Primer, and also use a setting spray of a setting powder and you should be good.

I have oily skin as well. No matter what type of foundation I wear, if the right primer isn't under it, it's going to melt off. Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Primer is so good for keeping oil at bay. A cheap alternative to matte skin (but I don't advise using daily/often) is Milk of Magnesia. Sounds so weird, but works so good. Perfect for makeup that need to last through photography and sweating.
