Help, I need some major advice. I was all set to wait until November to purchase my dress as every site says 8 months out is the right time to buy. But I unintentionally found a dress today that has melted my heart and I love it so much. It is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve found others in the similar style but none felt like THE ONE. But this dress gave me chills. The dress originally goes for 1400 dollars my budget for a dress is no more than 500. I found a seller on Poshmark selling this dress for 400 and change and offers a payment plan. The dress is a size 10 and I am currently a 12 in dresses I tried on a dress from Macy’s to confirm. I have all intentions of losing weight for my wedding so buying a dress one size down I don’t feel is harmful.
Here are my concerns;Purchasing a dress not knowing what size I’ll be 17 months from now.
And purchasing a dress and robbing my mom and maybe even my future mother in law of the dress shopping experience.
I’m in a tough pickle here and need advice. I know how quickly items can get sold on poshmark and November is basically equivalent to a year away. I looked everywhere to see if anyone else was selling this dress to see if it was a popular sell and maybe I’ll have hope of finding it by November but it isn’t being sold anywhere else.
If you were in my shoes would you purchase this dress? I know a lot of people say don’t buy so far out because you May change your mind later but I am pretty decisive. My engagement ring was the first ring I laid my eyes on and knew I wanted 11 months ago. I looked at others and still went to my original choice and now 11 months after finally getting proposed to I’m still in love with it. My venue I picked is the very first venue I searched and found and loved it. I looked at others but still came back to this venue. So I feel I won’t have buyers remorse. Hopefully I won’t.
Any thoughts? Anyone else brought a dress way way in advance? How did it all work out for you?
