This is Actually Not for me, but for My Sister-in-Law. I am the Best Man in her Wedding and recently found that she is having an issue picking out a Song that she can have Dedicated to Her and Her 5 Year Old Son. She has basically been on her own with him from the beginning, with hardly any assistance from the father, so their relationship is a tad different from the average 5 year old and their mother. Does Anyone have any Suggestions that I could shoot her way? I would Appreciate Any Information or Suggestions that I can get. Thanks!!

Beautiful Boy by John Lennon...or maybe the version by Celine Dion, to make it more mother/son appropriate? Just the first one I think of. I was a single mom of a boy for 14 years before I married my husband. My husband told his pastor (when we first started having feelings for each other) that it was perfect: my son and I were a family who needed a husband and father, and he was a husband and father with no family...Awww, mushy. I'm a little sappy over little boys and their moms. :-)

I did this same thing with my son! I was a single mom from the get go and my husband and I just got married on Sept 1st and I had a special dance with just me and my son. If she hasn't had her wedding yet i would suggest "A Smile Like yours" by Natalie Cole! It was absoutely perfect!
