Formal Morning Attire

Victorian Bride, on March 3, 2018 at 12:38 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11
We are marrying in an 1860's church at 10:30am. My FH wants to wear the traditional cutaway morning jacket and all the trimmings. We hope if we have some sepia toned prints maybe we'll look like we are back in time. These are hard to find here in the States. In Britain, its customary. I think they will look dapper. Any thoughts or opinions?

I like the suit w I t’s mix of color and pattern. I’m not crazy about the hat (seems a little costume-y) but if it’s customary and that’s what you’re FH wants to wear, go for it.

Janel, thank you! If you Google Royal Weddings Mens Attire, you'll see lots of these. Not that we are trying tho have a Royal Wedding. Of course, the hats won't be worn in the church. Thanks for your input. Yes, my FH loves it because it's traditional. I'm marrying an "old soul." Smiley winking

I think this would be super cool! I love the look of the second pic, but I feel like it takes a certain type of man to pull it off without it looking costume-y if that makes sense?
You said this type of outfit is common in the UK, so you might have luck searching stores over there and having things shipped here. Might get kinda pricey though.
Good luck! Please come back and post pics of your wedding!

Here is a website that you can custom build them on. The price is incredibly reasonable

Ladies, you have been so supportive, sweet, and helpful. I've only looked into the forums on Thursday, I think. I feel so very welcome and think I'm figuring it out. My thanks!! 😍😍😍
