Forks? Lol

Reagann22, on September 18, 2019 at 1:06 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 10
So at our reception dinner we are doing a pizza bar/bread sticks and for the dessert we are doing cupcakes, donut holes, and a candy bar/buffet.
So my question is.. since all of our food is hand food, do we really even need the utensils? Should we just buy forks? lol

I would provide forks and knives. Sometimes eating pizza can be very messy so some people like to use a fork and knife to eat the pizza.

👆 same. Also a Good idea if you will have young children and parents need to cut up their food, want to share cupcakes, etc

Agreed - even though it's probably not necessary, I can definitely imagine some people wanting utensils.

Agree with pps. I don’t usually eat pizza with a fork and knife, but at a wedding where I’m dressed up? I probably might. Especially since I usually use rent the runway for weddings so I wouldn’t want to get pizza grease on my dress.

I would definitely provide forks and knives. My step-mom wouldn't eat pizza without these utensils and some of your guests may feel the same way. Plus it gives them an option if they don't want to get grease or frosting on their hands.

Exactly! My family always eats pizza with a knife & fork.... And, I'd do the same with a cupcake, especially if they are the typical bakery-type with an 1" or more of frosting. I don't want sticky, greasy hands, and definitely not at a wedding.

I agree with PPs. I'd definitely provide utensils in case people want to use them. I use a fork and knife to eat pizza a lot!

I would provide forks & knives for people dressed up who don't want to eat with their hands.

Got it. So another question, with a 100 people should I just buy a hundred of each (Forks & Knives) for the people who want them then? (knowing our family, not everyone will use them) Or should I still add an extra 50, 100, 200, etc?
