Forgot to add website to save - the -date invitation ...

Eunice, on April 20, 2020 at 3:33 AM Posted in Planning 0 4
I forgot to add my wedding website to the save the date cards which I sent out a month ago.
Since my wedding is soon ( August 1st,2020), I want to know how many guests will RSVP since my actual formal invites will be sent late. I want to give people enough time to RSVP ( this will give me an idea about how much food to have, etc).

I’ve been torn with what to do at this point since there is a possibility that I might need to postpone the wedding date if the coronavirus situation doesn’t improve. Which is the reason why I don’t want spend money on formal invites until I for sure that everything will reopen.
I don’t know what to do!Would emailing the wedding website ( as an Evite) to my guests be okay?
Any other ideas would be appreciated!

You should just send invitations at the normal 6-8 weeks out. Even if you send your guests your wedding website now, that’s not going to prompt them to RSVP. You can’t expect people to RSVP to an event they haven’t been invited to.

Assuming that if you decide to cancel, you will post it on your website first before any other place, it would be wise to send an email to everyone who received a save the date. Tell them that as you know anything, whether about the wedding itself, or related accommodations and such, that that is where you will post it first. And also say when you are sending out the actual invitations at 6-8 weeks, and how you will be asking them to RSVP. Or if you prefer, call.

I Think You Should Send Your Invites Out At The Normal 6-8 Week Time Frame Or Earlier If You Want With Your Website On Them. My Date Is 10/17 And Our Save The Dates Didnt Have Our Website On Them, We Plan On Sending Invites June/July With An RSVP Date Of Aug. 1st. & Agreeing With PP They Can't Really RSVP To Something They Haven't Received An Invitation To. Goodluck. Smiley heart

You can just send an insert along with the invitations. You can print them on business cards on vistaprint which is fairly cheap.
