Forgot the time on my invitations!!!

Sarah, on June 28, 2018 at 1:17 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 16
So I just received my invitations and I noticed I forgot the time! 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ Do I get new ones (I’m on a tight budget) or do I slip a cute tag in there saying the time?? This is a very rustic and non traditional wedding already...

I personally would print new ones. The time is a pretty crucial piece of information for the invitation.

Cute tag, just make sure it matches. I've seen some little paper pocket watches at Michael's likely meant for scrapbooks. You could write the time on the back and tie it to the invite with small ribbon or something. Personally it cost me a small dang fortune to print my invites and I would never throw all that money away when it was something I could add in easily enough.

I'd get them reprinted. Did you print them yourself or have a company print them? If a company printed them, call and explain your mistake. They may be able to help you out with the cost. I used Vistaprint and made a mistake and they replaced them for free!

I would lose the tag if it’s not the same sauce as the invitation. I rather reprint.

If print new ones. What if they don’t see if and throw away the envelope, or it falls out when they pull the invitation out? There’s a likely chance someone would misplace a small tag.

Where did you order them from? Some of the more popular inexpensive websites have excellent customer service (I know for a fact that Vistaprint does, they reprinted an entire order for me at no charge and free next day shipping bc I wanted to change the time of my event). If your ordered from one of those sites, reach out to them.... You might be pleasantly surprised. But either way I would probably reprint them. If you spent a lot on them in the first place, order inexpensive replacements from ones of these sites. It may not be your first choice but they do have nice stuff.

I wouldn't slip anything into the envelope as there's a good chance it will get lost and not stick with the actual invitation. I'd reprint the invites but you could consider printing the time on a sticker and sticking it to the invite or as other poster suggesting, tieing it with a ribbon.

I'm not sure what the invites look like, but can you punch a hole in them and tie a little tag with the time on to them or would that be too much trouble? (I'm not sure how many invites we are talking). You could also think about a bigger insert that would not get lost, but a small tag no attached could easily be missed.

I'm of the opinion that an invite doesn't matter much since people just throw them away, BUT the information on the invite is pretty crucial.

This sounds like something I would do. Good luck!

Are you using a website? If it directs you to a website that should be okay, but if not I would probably print new ones... place, date, and time and kind of the most important :/ I am putting inserts in my invitation for when RSVP's are due so hoping people don't lose that!

Personally I would reprint, but if you really can't...Not sure what your invites look like but would it be possible to write it neatly, in the same color ink as the rest of the text?

I was planning on tying it to the invitations with a jute ribbon and making sure it’s pretty secure obviously. I got them from Costco and just don’t think it’s necessary to print new ones. I have to send them out by next week so I don’t really have time to reprint
