Forever stamps for invites

Morgan, on May 23, 2019 at 7:30 PM Posted in Planning 0 16
Did anyone weigh their invites and find that they only needed 1 ounce forever stamps? I tried three different scales and they all said 1.00 ounce exactly. Happy that I can save money by not getting the 2-ounce stamps but I’m afraid this maybe be too good to be true 😱

I took mine to the post office and had it weighed. He said it was fine and so I bought a few books. I'd just have them weigh one of your invites

I agree with PP, you should be safe and get them weighed. My invites only needed one stamp, so its possible.

I only needed the regular forever stamps. I agree with PP, have the post office weigh one just to make sure.

I am excited to hear this but I thought it was weight and size. So anything over a 4×6 size would be additional postage ? I could be wrong

Definitely just take an entire invitation suite to your local post office to have it weighed.

The average greeting card is 5x7 and as long as it is rectangular and can fit in an A7 envelope, it does not require extra postage unless it exceeds the weight limit.

Yup! I did a standard flat card and a small insert card and the forever stamps were fine!

I think this is totally possible depending on what you've got in the envelope and how heavy the card stock is that you used. If the post office says so then that's it! I wouldn't think anything more of it.
