Forest Green in the Spring?

Kres, on April 13, 2020 at 4:10 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 11

Green has always been my favorite color for as long as I can remember; therefore, when I got engaged I thought for sure this was my color for the wedding. I've read everywhere that forest green is better for Fall season. I feel there shouldn't be a rule on choosing your color by season.

I agree that there shouldn’t be a rule for choosing a color. My wedding is in March of next year & we’re doing forest green. I say go for it 😄

Totally. Green(ery) is "in" every season. I would just be sure to keep everything nice and neutral.

I dig it! Do you have any other color(s) in mind to compliment your green?

I think forest green is beautiful in any season! I love the idea of picking a color that you love. I'm getting married in August and also incorporating forest green into my color scheme.

I agree, you should pick what you love. What flowers will you have go with it? You could choose something to compliment the green, and at the same time have a spring vibe...like maybe a small touch of yellow? Have fun planning.

My fiancé picked an Easter-y spring-y light green as his choice for our blue and green October wedding because it is his favorite color. I no longer believe you have to follow certain colors for certain times of year as long as it makes you happy.

On another note, I’ve met other brides on this forum who had to postpone their spring weddings to fall and are intending on keeping their spring themes/colors despite the change of season.

If Mother Nature has no problem using the color year round then neither should you. Pick whatever you love.

No rule! Pick whatever color you wish. Honestly, forest green works in all seasons anyway.

It’s your wedding. Honestly it’s so predictable for spring weddings to have the typical pastel colors. It’s refreshing to see something different. I was originally getting married in May (now August) and my color is mustard yellow. Cuz it’s my favorite. So I stand with you. Do it.
