For the people who are already married

Nope! But we did have people ask us last minute ( a day or two before the wedding) if they could bring someone. We did end up having some no shows so it worked out, thankfully!

I'm afraid since I'm having my wedding at the family church that the whole congregation will show up. It will be okay for the ceremony. but I want have enough seats or food for them at the reception.

Only those invited should come, but I don't really know how that works with family churches. I was married in a church and didn't have a problem with this, but it was also a church out of town that we don't go to. I would talk to your church coordinator and ask if this is normally something that happens, and maybe ask them not to announce the wedding date or anything like that. Good luck! Hopefully someone else with experience in this area can chime in too!

We didn't have any issues with anyone coming that wasn't invited or that didn't RSVP

There were a few at the ceremony (in church, so it's technically a public thing). But not at the reception.

At our local reception we were a bit worried about an uninvited friend, or strangers stopping by because it was at a winery. We thought about hiring security but due to budget didn’t do it. Happily, no uninvited guests.

No we didn't. Day of the wedding I did have my husband's niec-in-law email me and ask if she could bring her client. She's an aide for disabled adults. She was working and it was the only way she could come. I'd met the client before and he's sweet so I said yes. A bit later her brother wrote and asked if he could come with his sister. I meant to invite him anyway so I said yes again.
