For People Trying to Figure Out Whether or Not They Should Postpone

Taylor, on March 29, 2020 at 5:20 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 11

I found this post on the subreddit r/weddingplanning. Hug your fiance a little tighter tonight and let's all be thankful that we even have the option to postpone. This virus is scary and serious and although a wedding is VERY important, it's not worth putting you or your loved ones lives at risk.

It's such a stressful time for everyone involved, but the safety and health of my loved ones are far more important. I'm trying to be positive about this. With a new wedding date postponed to next year I have more time to do things that I wouldn't have been able to do this year. I'll have more money to be able to splurge on items that weren't within my budget for this year's wedding. It's not the end of the world!

That hurt. My fiance is considered essential for his 2 jobs. I worry everyday he is going to get sick. God bless this poor bride. I always hug my fiance extra tight when he gets home, and I dont complain about postponing anymore because I know people are dying, we are alive and we still have a chance to be married and live our lives. I'm praying this virus stops taking lives and we can begin to rebuild. What a heartbreaking time for everyone. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍

Thinking of your fiance during the time. My aunt is a nurse and I have two relatives in ICU right now. Such a scary unpredictable time. ❤

Sending love to you and your fiance and we thank him for all that he is doing right now! My fiance is considered essential as well and it terrifies me that something could happen to him during this time. We will all get through this and hopefully come out on the other side better than ever Smiley heart

Thank you love, a lot of brides think I've been aggressive on these forums but really, I just want people to think outside of themselves and look at the bigger picture. I truly hope this all clears up fast but that doesnt look like that is what is going to happen, unfortunately.

I'm glad people are being realistic and realizing how serious this is. People are losing their loved ones. It isn't as simple as a little cold. I know postponing hurts, especially after so much planning, but think of the bigger picture.

This is heartbreaking 💔💔 and really highlights how serious this situation is. My FH and I ate right now debating to postpone but we do still have each other, please show your loved ones how much they are loved by doing your part and staying home!

This is very sad news no one deserves that! My heart goes out to all families for their lost. No one can tell the future since there is no cure and they expect the virus to come back in the fall. I am just grateful for each day if I have my wedding later in the year, great, but if not, I'll use the money towards our future .. I'm not pushing back another year because this virus is still unknown unless the find a cure soon which is they estimate in a year or two. In all celebrate everyday with your future husband, make use of the QT at home get to know each other better , build your relationship stronger isnt that what it's really all about anyway 🥰🥰

What a tragedy, but what an important reminder that we need to take all these warnings seriously. *off to hug my DH*
