Overboard: we got very nervous about running out of STDs, so ... I over ordered invites.

DH came up with the idea for the centerpieces AFTER we got the flowers, but with less than 2 months to go before the wedding, we suddenly had a DIY project.

DH took over music, because I love to dance but I don't know music, and then he got an anxiety attack over it, and instead of sending our DJ a sampling of what we liked, he tried to create a freaking playlist and I had to ask him what in tarnation we were paying her for, then...

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiii may or may not have vowed to never set foot in the church again after the priest said he wouldn't marry us in the church with 3 1/2 months to go, right before we ordered invites and prompting us to have to frantically look for a ceremony location. (Incidentally, I was *very* sick on Christmas and then pandemic, so, uh, I haven't actually set foot in the church since that day.)

Oh no that sounds rough. I am so sorry that happened. That is definitely a stressful story. Yeah I would find a new church if the priest tried me like that lol.

I'm not Christian, so we had gone through a lot to get approval. It apparently still wasn't enough and I still feel rather disrespected.

..I warned DH it wasn't going to go well, but I'd try like heck for him...
(Precana was also especially poorly run, and DH, who went to Jesuit schools, was appalled, so made everything 10x more difficult.)
(My dad, on the other hand, was like, "you really love this guy, because your mom and I tried a premarital thing and I left by lunch." My reply to dad, "We didn't have a car, and it wasn't our money that paid for it.")

I am sorry what does DH mean? I see it but do not know lol. Yeah the things we do for our man. I am glad we are saving the money and it made splurging easier but I wish I had a slightly bigger wedding but because of his social anxiety that was a no go. I do appreciate what he is letting me have and that he is getting a 3 piece suit ha ha.

I got so nervous/excited that I said "I Do" before the priest was done 💀
I went overboard with buying shoes before I realized I can't actually walk in heels. I thought my bridal self had magical powers but nope...not a trick I will learn anytime soon

Girl I should be walking in my heels more. Although having stood in them while getting alterations I do know I can stand in them...I do pray I do not trip down the aisle ha ha. Awwww that is cute you said I do before he finished.
