Food!

ariel, on July 5, 2019 at 1:55 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 12
My wedding is on a budget, but does hamburgers and hotdogs sound okay for a wedding it’s easy and cheap and who doesn’t like hamburgers and hotdogs

Just make sure you also provide options for vegetarians!

Sure, as long as the wedding is super casual. As PP mentioned, you will need to have a vegetarian option as well.

I agree with Brianna. Have an option for non meat eaters and you're good to go. I have no problem with people serving inexpensive meals to their guests as long as they host properly!

Agreed with all as long as it matched your wedding and venue. This would be great for a backyard wedding, but maybe not so much for a ballroom wedding.

I am having hamburgers and hotdogs (as well as pit beef and pit turkey). I dont have a vegetarian option, but have plenty of side dishes that everyone should be satisfied..so yes its ok. It is your day.

We're doing burgers dogs and brats maybe shrimp skewers. And baked beans, patatoe salad, fresh fruit, and mac n cheese. No vegans in our fams so no worries they're! I think what ur doing is perfectly fine!

This! Make sure it matches your venue. Nothing wrong with budgeting but you don't want people in black tie formal clothing eating hamburgers and hotdogs. We are doing a Taco and Fajita bar and a donut bar for dessert. Our wedding is an outdoors rustic theme and is in a bar so the casual nature of the bars just fit and worked in our budget (not to mention FH and I's favorite food!)

I think it sounds great! Before we decided on a fall wedding we were talking about a summer cookout and that's what we would have had. I would just have someone who likes to man the grill

That's what we are doing ! It doesnt match our attire at all but we dont care. There's no right or wrong way ! It's your wedding not everyone else's. We are getting married and my girls are wearing very pretty formal dresses and my boys vest and ties and were still grilling out . Although we do plan on all changing before the reception . So they will actually be wearing two outfits.

I think it sounds fun as long as it goes with a causal theme!

That's fine as long as it matches the formality of your event. You also need to make sure there are options for any vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free, or other dietary restrictions. What sides are you thinking?
