Food stations?

BecomingBaker, on February 20, 2018 at 2:42 AM Posted in Planning 0 7
So, my fiancé and I have different views on what kind of food we want at our wedding. He prefers Italian and I always dream of a taco truck. Well we recently decided to go with buffet style catering, however I just saw the idea of food stations! Has anyone ever had this at their wedding? Just different stations with different kinds of food?

My FSIL did this at her wedding with indian/southern food. On one side of the room was Indian food, the other was southern. It was amazing!!!

We’re doing food stations! We love different cuisines and all our family and friends know that. So we tried to hit our favorites. Post cocktail hour (which includes passed apps, a chartuterie display and bruschetta,) We have a stir fry action station, a micro burger and fries bar, street taco station and plated Napa valley salads. For a late night snack we have a Bavarian pretzel station with different mustards and beer cheese! Still debating a sweets table with French pastries/macaroons. I love the idea of stations. People can get as much or as little of whatever suits their fancy!

    We are doing stations.

Passed hors d'oeudrves (coconut shrimp, conch fritters, caprese skewers)

Stations: Raw bar, paella, pasta, prime rib carving station

Dessert table (cake plus 3 desserts, tbd)

It's a beach wedding, so I think it will be perfect.

A- food stations are wonderful. B- my first husband was Mexican, I'm Italian. We created all sorts of 'Mexitalian' dishes over the years. [We were married for 18 years, and we are still friends] A taco truck and Italian food will go great together. And Tapatio is the BEST hot sauce for Italian food Smiley smile

Love your menu. Just my opinion but the sweets table would be the perfect way to round out your menu. Please post pics after if you can.

    Mimi,

That is exactly what our focus will be! I really wanted Mexican food and my fiance wanted Italian. So we're going to do like a taco bar station, pasta station, carving station. I am super excited there's a way we can both get what we want!
