There has been a lot of discussion today about couples not eating at their receptions. I am wondering if there is any correlation between what type of meal you served and whether you get to eat it. I know buffets encourage people to be standing and moving about the room, socializing. It also leads to people eating at different times (people at the beginning of the line are done eating by the time people at the end of the line get their food, etc.). Whereas with a plated meal, socialization beyond your table isn’t encouraged because people are served at basically the same time and stay seated through the entire meal. If you are already married, were you able to eat? We’re you interrupted by guests a lot during dinner? And did you have buffet or plated meals?

Eating was a priority for us! We ate fine at our wedding & local reception. It’s easy... when dinner is served go to your seat and eat. Problem solved.
