Follow-up Save-the-Date email

MizizAngi, on January 8, 2014 at 11:02 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

So I sent my Save-the-Dates via email about 7 months out (a lot of people were asking about our plans so I decided to send it a little early). The email included a link to our wedding website which gave all the info. A dozen or so people signed the guest book, so I know people received it, but I am still getting a lot of inquiries which leads me to believe not all received or read their email (one of which was my MOH who asked me yesterday when I was going to send save-the-dates). Wedding is a little under 4 months away and invites are going out end of Feb. Would it seem pushy/annoying to re-send the email as a follow-up? Should I just let it go and let people wait to receive their invites?

I wouldn't resend them. The people who didn't get them probably had them go to the spam folder anyway.

^^ Exactly, probably ended up in spam folder. The people that did receive won't want it again. Just send the invites from here on out.

I'd just wait until you send out your invitations. You're close enough to sending them out already. You can tell people about the website so they can check it out but I wouldn't email again.

Don't send. To be frank, (and I have a website too) not many people care to look at the website so instead of looking up the info themselves, they will ask you. Just politely answer and end it with a, "and if you need more information here's my website!"

Sounds good, ladies, thanks! I was torn, thinking the same thing (don't know why it would have ended up in spam though, I sent it from my personal email, not the website option), and just thought I would double-check. Excited to address invites and send them out! Smiley smile
