Flowers

I have no experience with flowers so I am having a hard time picturing what I want or how it's going to come together. Decorations, centerpieces, the arch.... Does a florist do a site visit to give ideas? I am hoping to get a few pointers before I call on any florist, I don't want to sound like I have no idea what I am talking about even though I don't ... or be side swiped!! Smiley flower

Maybe you can look at photos of your venue from when they've had weddings to get some ideas?

I had a really hard time picturing flowers, as well. Florists are so expensive so I decided to do flowers on my own, which makes it harder. I basically narrowed my wedding colors down and then started looking for flowers that fit my colors. Eventually I came across some I'm in love with. It's easier for me because my venue has so much character on it's own, I can't use too many flowers without ruining it. Your first step is to decide where you REALLY want flowers, and if you want small or big bouquets, centerpieces, arch, etc. Make a list of flower locations and sizes, wedding colors, and pictures of flowers you like, then go see a florist. They can help you narrow it all down.

Lets start with your colors and your theme. And I will be glad to help (:

Thanks Brittany!! Colors will be silver/gray with some purple and my daughter insists on having something with sunflowers. I am not sure if I can make that work or not..... I don' t want a ton of sunflowers, but maybe a few here and there will be a nice pop of sunshine!! we will see! I don't really think I have a theme... I should consider that. I am getting married on a dock waterfront, and I will be having some lawn games during cocktail hour.
