How far out do you book a florist and talk about flowers with them?

It’s not a huge priority in my wedding, I only started looking this month and my wedding is in July. If you’re into flowers, I’d look ASAP to get the certain type of flowers and arrangements set up earlier than later.

I’m unsure, but I was chatting with florists in late September and had booked one of them by late October. Our wedding is small and in February.

    Hey Katie!

According to the WeddingWire Checklist, it is recommended that you start looking for your florist about 10 to 12 months before your wedding. That being said, this would be if you are having a large wedding with a substantial amount of flowers that would need to be ordered in by the florist. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to start looking into florists in your area and getting rough quotes and time estimates. Do you have a vision for what you want your flowers to look like? Do you want specific types of flowers or specific colors?
