Fake because I have rarely seen real flowers be within the price range I want and this way I could get something when it's on sale in advance and then just preserve it to take with me when we do our ceremony.

I'm always team artificial flowers. I couldn't justify spending thousands of dollars on flowers that are just going to die right after the wedding. There are also so many different types of artificial flowers that look really life like. They're cheaper and I can even hold on to some as a keepsake if I want Smiley smile

My preference is real. Nothing wrong with artificial but I personally don't like the argument that "flowers will die anyways". You could also argue that food will be eaten (and thus gone) and a DJ's songs will end... lol. Just hate that argument. All of those things (including flowers) contribute to the experience and none of them last forever.

Well apart from the argument that real flowers will die I think that like Amber said it'll Tinley can be a keepsake. I like that idea to that if you really love the bouquet that you got then you can keep it or even if someone ever wants to borrow it for their wedding maybe provide them to Something Borrowed.

I was always for real flowers and had real flowers at my wedding but I see more and more beautiful artificial bouquets. Because I had a Destiination wedding and did not want to carry a bunch of things home I went for the art of I was always for real flowers and had real flowers at my wedding but I see more and more beautiful artificial bouquets. Because I had a Destiination wedding and did not want to carry a bunch of things home I went for real flowers and then have them to staff at the hotel to enjoy.

I don't think you can really compare flowers to food Smiley xd

I haven't seen any bride opt for artificial food to cut costs lol. As for a DJ, it gives an entirely different atmosphere than random music on shuffle (no fade outs, announcements, volume adjustments, song changes to suit the mood).

It all comes down to quality of the experience. Bad/no food will 100% ruin guest experience. No DJ won't ruin it, but it will definitely have a noticeable impact. Quality artificial flowers look identical to real ones so you're not compromising the experience, but you are saving a large amount of money Smiley smile

It really depends on what you like. Artificial is good, but if you'd prefer real ones, I'd look into Sam's Club or Costco!

I love real flowers/plants. Part of my job is identifying plants. Even so, I couldn't make peace with the cost of the real thing.

Plus, I can reuse or resell the bouquets and centerpieces I will be making with Sola wood flowers and preserved fillers

I'm using real flowers. I bought mine from Sam's Club. I paid $890 for the white rose 33 pc collection and I also bought 125 white steam roses. They will be here tomorrow morning so I'll post pictures as soon as they get here.

I feel that ultimately it is what is important to you. If flowers are a big thing then go for real but if it is something that you just want the day of but not a high priority then maybe go fake. I knew I wanted a bouquet but I wanted the cheapest option. I chose one that is nothing like what I imagined but I could not pass up the price. I knew the veil I wanted so I made sure to get exactly that and luckily found a great deal but would be willing to spend some more to get what I wanted. If you do not really care but want to have them then go for the cheaper option.

Yeah thats fair. I was probably exaggerating my point. I still don’t think artificial ever compares to real though we can agree to disagree!

Real, I'm getting a decent price for what I want not going overboard with flowers. I have read on here a lot real flowers photograph better but fake flowers will stay beautiful forever. Personally though I love real flowers dried out so I might do that with mine.

We're doing fake, but they are crazy realistic. My FH has terrible allergies and real flowers would not be good for him. I also wanted to DIY my bouquets to save some money and real-looking fake flowers were my go-to.

I prefer real. I personally do not like silk/fake flowers for many reasons, but that's me. I see nothing wrong with having silk flowers, though. I found a bouquet on etsy from WoodlandFlowerCo with Sola flowers and matching hair accessories. We're not having a wedding party, so all I need is a boutonniere for him and a bouquet for me.

I am getting married in the summer in an outside gazebo surrounded by gardens, so I am not going overboard. I am allergic to tons of flowers, too. I am getting hydrangeas and greenery, that's it. I will be getting them from Sam's Club for a deal.
