What is a good budget for real flowers? Is $2000 too much or not enough

This depends a ton on what you want, and somewhat on where you're located. I'm in VA, and got a quote of $1,000 for a bridal bouquet, 5 bridesmaid bouquets, 3 corsages, 9 boutonnieres, 2 barrel toppers to use for the ceremony and then relocate for the reception, a swag for the arch, and 6 small centerpieces for tables (the bridesmaids bouquets would serve as centerpieces for the other tables).

Thank you Sara. That really helps me out a lot. The wedding is in Columbia, SC and there will be 10 tables. So this helps me out with some sort of knowledge of a budget.

Hey fellow Columbia SC AND May 2020 bride!! We're from Columbia and having our wedding just outside of Columbia in St. Matthews Smiley smile Personally, I couldn't justify (or squeeze) a huge budget for flowers, so I purchased all of our flowers from Amazon for less than $200. If you're adamant about fresh flowers, I think $2,000 should be your maximum.

When I was looking at florists and flowers for my wedding, I was being quoted between $2,000 - $3,600. I was able to go with a wholesale florist and got the price down to $1,000

There is no answer to that question. We had flowers only for the two bridal bouquets, one MOH bouquet, and one bout, and kept it down to $250. Centerpieces were nonfloral. On the other hand, if you have arch flowers, a huge wedding party, ceremony flowers, large centerpieces, etc., all with out-of-season flowers and lots of construction, you can easily get into thousands. The real question is what you want, how important it is to you, and what your overall wedding budget is.

I have a local wholesale florist, Norfolk Wholesale Florist, who will sell the flowers at wholesale and assemble them for only $200 extra.

Maybe try Google to see if there are any in your area.
