Flowers

Hi y'all! I just wanted to get everybodies opinions on whether having real flowers or fake flowers would be better. I can't seem to decide and my fiancé does not seem to care about that decision as much as other things in our wedding. Help!!!!

Fake flowers are good, but I personally love real ones! To save money, we're having flowers ordered through our local Kroger florist. It's way cheaper than a traditional florist but I still get my fresh flowers! I'd look into Sam's Club, Fifty Flowers (online), Costco, or grocery stores for fresh flowers!

There's a lot of people who do real for the bouquets of the bridal party but fake for the centerpieces to save money but also be able to have the real ones too

Real flowers! They smell amazing and you cannot beat the look. Plus you can dry them to save for later.

This is completely a matter of personal preference, so go with your gut. For us, I'm gonna pick up some good Trader Joe's or Harris Teeter flowers because fresh flowers are important to me, but professional arrangements are not. We're having a microwedding, so we're not doing ceremony flowers. Just 6 bouts, 4 corsages and 3 bouquets. YouTube has great instructional videos on making them. We may have 2 centerpieces. 🤷‍♀️

    Hi there:

What do you plan to do with the Flowers after your event?

I went with faux (maybe real touch) Flowers. This was because I didn’t want to waste 💵 on something that I wouldn’t be able to re-use. Everyone said how beautiful everything was.

The lady that caught the Toss 💐 called and asked how to preserve it. Um, ma’am, they’re NOT real. Put them in a plastic bag to keep dust from getting on them.

Someone is re-using some of the Flowers and Tablecloths that I purchased for a ⛪️ Anniversary event at the end of the month.

My daughter is similar to your fiancé in that flowers are not a high priority. Thus we are strongly considering fake to rent from Something Borrowed Blooms for the bridal bouquet + 10 bridesmaids. We will save a fortune due to her large wedding party. Then real bouts for the groomsmen bc we are worried we won’t get the bouts back 😂 (you have to ship SBB rentals back the next day).

For the centerpieces we are keeping it super simple with single roses in sweet bud vases and lots of baby’s breath so looking at Costco or Kroger. Good luck sweetie!!

I thought i would be happy with artificial flowers and started making my bouquets and bouts about 10 months out. Then 4 months out i had a change of heart and wanted real flowers.
I think i was just so anxious to get something going and done, that i felt the fale flowers would work. I spent $160 on them and now will end up using them only if the real flower project fails miserably lol.
I will, however use the bouts i made from artificial flowers. Trying to keep the bouts fresh makes me nervous.

I love real flowers. To help the budget we are using more greenery with scattered flowers for the reception venue. Also my bridesmaid bouquets with double as centerpieces for some of the tables.

We don’t have much decor, so real flowers are the best option since they will be what everyone is looking at.

We are using fake flowers for bouquets, centerpieces, etc. I was kind of hesitant to do fake flowers instead of real ones, but we have already went over our budget with everything else. The picture attached to this post is what my bridal party will be holding in their hands next weekend. I’m pretty content with the way they came out and I’m happy with saving hundreds of dollars that can go to other things.

Using fake silk ones for bouquets for the ceremony. Using real greenery from Sam’s club for the reception/table decor.
