Kinda not sure.....

Does the mother of the groom have to wear a corsage? I asked my FH and he wasnt sure, we have both been married before but he cant remember if his mom had one before, as I didnt have a big wedding before I have no idea all this is new to me.

We got corsages for my mother, my husband's mother, and my husband's stepmother. None of our grandparents are still with us but if they were, grandmothers would have gotten them too. Sisters didn't because they were already in the bridal party.

I didn't have anyone but wedding party wear flowers -- so no Mom/Dad/Grandparent had a corsage or buttonhole. Only people in the wedding that had flowers at my wedding were the maid of honor/bridesmaids & best man/groomsmen, then my fiance & I.

It's really up to you, imo.

It’s up to you. I made Boutonnières: 8 and Corsages: 2. DH and my 92 yo Granny were the only ones to wear theirs (per his decision without consulting me).

I would say if your mom is wearing one then his mom should have one also. Same thing with grandparents.

We had corsages for both moms. My husband's soon to be stepmom didn't get one though because we barely know her.

My mom is no longer with us, my grandmother is also gone, and so is my FH grandmother. I guess Im just wondering if we should get his mom one or is it unnecessary?

If she's the only real matron of the family left, I'd totally give her one. It'll probably mean a lot to her on the day of.

If you would like to honor her yes. My mom and dad will be wearing one as well as his dad and sister because his mom has passed. Neither of us have grandparents. I also made the choice to have my brother wearing one so he feels included. All of the wedding party will have flowers as well. Do what you feel is right.
