Flowers- Yea or Nay

Okay. So, my fiancee and I have been discussing whether or not we want flowers. We can agree that we want a flower girl, but Skye doesnt really see the point of paying a whole heap for a bouquet she's only going to use for a few hours. But its traditional. So. I was thinking- I'm half Native American and was thinking of maybe making a medicine bag for her with a bunch of good herbs to put inside and maybe a ceremonial smoke pipe for me. They aren't difficult to make and it would be a meaningful thing for us to carry down the aisle. To be clear, I'd be carrying the medicine bag and herbs with me and then I'd fill it, tie it and give it to her, she'd unwrap the pipe, assemble and fill it and present it to me. If that makes sense at all.
