Flowers have me annoyed

Futuremrsm, on July 11, 2019 at 8:01 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13
So I ordered sola wood flower bouquets for myself and my bridal party from etsy in about december. I just got them yesterday, and while they look great I am slightly annoyed. I originally ordered one bridal and 5 bridesmaid bouquets. I open the box and there are 10 bouquets in there! I message the seller and told her I had extra. She explained that she threw in a free toss bouquet (very nice) but admitted that the extra ones were her fault. It would be no big deal, but she charged me for the extra ones! Instead of offerering to send them back, she just told me I could use them as decor. I'm kind of annoyed because i paid $150 extra for 3 bouquets I didn't need. I feel bad because she spent the time and effort to make them. But at the same time she only made extra because she wasn't paying attention and wrote down the wrong number (her words). I'm annoyed but probably won't send them back or make an issue of it, i figure i can put the extras on the card table or something. Oh, and the handles on them werent correct either. Just a little rant.

Is there any way you can contact customer support at etsy or something? Why should you pay for something you didn't ask for or have no use for?

I think I would message her again & tell her that they extras need to be sent back and refunded, especially since the ones you wanted aren't correct. Do you have time tiger them corrected before wedding? Or is it close enough?

I'd tell her she needs to refund me because I didn't order them. That's entirely on her.

I agree with others, this is on her, especially because she admitted to it. I'd ask for a refund and if she declines because she still made the effort or whatnot, I would contact Etsy directly since you have it in writing that it was her mistake and not yours. $150 is a lot when you're wedding planning!

Exactly this. She charged you for items you did not order or agree to. If she refuses, contact customer support and leave a bad review for her.

How did she charge you for the extra bouquets? You pay for your order when it's placed on etsy.

I would message Etsy and get a refund. I am curious though how she charged you for the extra ones when you only get charged for the number you enter. If they don't refund your money you can report it to your bank for fraud charges since that is not the number your authorized and you have proof that it was her fault and not your mistake when ordering.

I would open a case with Etsy! Since you've already tried to resolve things with the seller, opening a case is justified

You shouldn't feel bad for this at all. I'd request a refund since she has even said it's completely her fault.

She split the amount into two payments. I paid the first when I initially placed the order and then the other half when they were done and ready to ship, which was months later so I didn't notice it was more than the total specified amount
