Flowers from ShopRite?!

Goodbye, on April 26, 2013 at 6:26 PM Posted in Planning 1 3

Apparently some ShopRite's offer floral services for weddings. I called a location near me and plan to go in for a consultation, but I'm still a little hesitant!

Has anyone used or planning to use ShopRite for their flowers?

Of course they're retail -- they're ShopRite. I dated a guy who did florals for a supermarket many years ago. His stuff wasn't bad. They get their stems from wholesalers/growers. It wouldn't hurt to go and see them, but remember to ask a few questions: what will the percentage of flowers to green stems be (30 stems may mean 20 green fillers and 10 flowers), how long before your wedding will they be delivered to the store, how long will they sit in a cooler, and ask about possible replacement stems (carnations when you ordered roses). Ask about any discounts that a Price Plus Card might give you (and then get one -- it's easy), ask if coupons are available and useable. All in all, it's not a bad starting point.

Go to the consult. The worst that happens is you walk away. Nothing lost, and you can always pick up milk while you're there, lol.
