Flowers by the bulk for centerpieces -

Andrea, on June 20, 2019 at 2:26 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 2

Hi guys,

My wedding in march 20,2020. I refuse to spend 3000+ dollars on flowers (thats what most floral companies quote for full service wedding in the Houston, TX area). We are already spending a lot of money on catering, transportation, photographer.. things that are thrown in the garbage at the end of the night are not something we are willing to spend too much one. However, I want everything to look pretty! Ive seen a lot of threads about buying bulk or going to the grocery store days prior to get everything assembled. Im worried though that by doing this Ill stress too much... How do you take it there even? Idk.. probably its not as complicated as I make it in my mind. My venue is gorgeous and doesnt need much decorating thank God.

Any tips on doing your own bouquet and centerpieces? How did you manage decorating the arbor?

Thank you for your insight !

I bought my bouquets at Michael's craft store actually. You can just buy fake ones and arrange them yourselves.

Welcome to the WeddingWire community Andrea!

How do you feel about using artificial flowers? You could even use the majority of artificial flowers and add some fresh flowers to your arrangements to add some life. I definitely think that artificial flowers for your arbor would work perfectly as it will only be seen from a distance by your guests.

Have you thought about what style or color flowers you want to use? Using a lot of greenery is a great way to keep costs down, and looks really beautiful at the same time.
