Flower Wall

Michelle, on August 9, 2016 at 10:02 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 9

For my ceremony and also for my reception I would love to have a flower wall! Not to copy the Kimye wedding, but I like the idea of a flower wall rather than an arch to get married under. Also it would be a great back drop for our traditional wedding party dinner. Has anyone ever made their own? Any hints or suggestions?

Real or fake, that's going to be expensive. Are you OK with that?

Flower walls are gorgeous and like Going to the chapel said, expensive. You can't go skimping on the flowers ... it's gotta be lush, no spaces ... Smiley smile

To me, a flower wall makes a huge impact and is worth the $ if you can spend it

Someone on here just recently made one, I don;t remember who though. It will be very expensive and time consuming, but they really do add a nice dramatic touch.

I am making one with paper flowers and yes, it has been expensive so far. I was going to cut my flowers, but found that to be waaay too time consuming so decided to purchase from a seller on Etsy. The total cost of the flowers alone was $240. I craft , and already have PVC displays made for previous craft shows, so I will be re-purposing those and attaching the styrofoam boards to them for the flowers to attach to. The finished measurement will be 8ft by 8ft. This is my anticipated result. My flowers should be here by the end of the week, so I hope to get started on it sometime soon.

Mine will serve as the backdrop for the ceremony and then the backdrop of the photobooth at the reception.

Hi Michelle! Make sure to upload a picture for your avatar (instead of the default icons) so that we can get to know you and tell you apart from all the other posters.

Oh man I totally wish I could do a flower wall, but they are crazy expensive with real flowers!! Have you thought about doing paper flowers at all like @MyBBLife suggested? It would probably be a ton of work but they look really cool!

I agree paper flowers are a much more affordable way to get that Glam look! I've decided to do one for my wedding also and I've found some pretty amazing set ups using paper flowers. Good luck!!

OHHH I LOVE the wooden palette with the flowers at the top! Less flowers=less money! FH enjoys making things out of wood- maybe I can convince him to start a project! Haha
