Flower question...

Kerin, on April 27, 2020 at 9:31 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 18
My bouquet is coming from the florist...white oriental lilies and deep red alstroemeria. Would it be weird to use a different, and artificial, flower in the table centerpieces? I can't find anything I like that isn't crazy expensive.

I have fake flowers for centerpieces and real for my bouquet. Not weird at all! It would cost me $5-6k more for real centerpieces

Sounds fine to me! I had a florist do my bouquet and didn’t even have floral centerpieces lol. Your bouquet is in almost every picture, it’s super important! But no one cares about centerpieces lol

I'd say go for it! I'm using all silk flowers and renting from Something Borrowed Blooms! They have everything bouquets, centerpieces, decor items, etc... And it's a fraction of the price! I think you should check them out and they might have a collection that would match your colors.

Make sure your florist allows that. Some florists will put in the contract that no other florals (real, fake, diy or professional) are permitted without the florist’s permission. Reason they do this is to protect their brand. They wouldn’t want to inadvertently be credited - in photos, on social media or otherwise - for something they didn’t create at the wedding.

I'm foregoing floral centerpieces completely. My ceremony florals were expensive enough, o we opted for candles on the tables.

We’re doing greenery with bud vases, candle holders, etc which is cutting the cost significantly
