Flower petals

N, on February 20, 2020 at 2:58 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 10
For those doing (or did) the whole flower girls drop petals on aisle, how are you getting the petals? (Only those that did real petals please as we are outdoors so cannot do fake/silk).

Did you just plan to buy some roses and pick the petals yourself they say before? I see packa you can by online but slightly expensive and you get way more than you need (Fifty Flowers will give you 1,000 for like $129). But don’t feel like I’ll need that many!

Our florist is supplying our flower girl petals. You can get containers of them from your grocery store florist, too. Or you can pick them off stemmed roses.

Our wedding planner picked up a bouquet of roses from the grocery store the morning of our wedding and picked them to put in the basket. She said getting the petals from the florist would’ve been a lot more expensive.

A local florist. or I think either costco or sams club offers a variety.

Was one bouquet enough for you? We’ll have 2 flower girls but they’re old enough that *hopefully* they won’t just grab handfuls. Just not sure if one bouquet will get them down the aisle though.

It was! Our flower girl had just turned 4 and was pretty shy so she didn’t grab very many petals! She was very cautious and put like one at a time haha.

Look on Etsy for freeze dried petals. I got to choose my color and purchased them for $30 from “rose petals everywhere.”

Ask your florist, petals and greenery were included in our package we bought. Some floral shops sell bags of petals also but you may not get the colors you want

We’re doing outside ceremony and using freeze dried petals. Was just easier because you don’t have to wait till the last minute to get them.
