Flower Options

The next vendor I am looking to hire is the florist, but I have been contemplating how much real flowers I want at my wedding due to the extremely high costs! I did splurged on my photographer so I am looking to cut some cost else where and am totally open to doing fake flowers but I don’t want them to look cheap.

For those of you who chose to go with fake flowers, any recommendations on where to get good quality flowers at a reasonable price?

For those of you who chose real flowers how much did you end up spending?

I’d love to see pictures! Thanks Smiley smile

I did real flowers myself from Sams club. Best decision ever. Spent $400ish for absolutely everything. Decorated everywhere and made all of my bouquets and still had some left over. 100% recommend. It's a little bit of work, but worth it to save thousands and still have gorgeous real florals.

I have heard Sams Club as well. I am using an Amish shop (fortunate to have that available near me). I am having all of the flowers arranged (6 bridesmaid bouquets, 1 bridal, 1 toss, 13 boutonnieres, 4 corsages, church flowers) for $550. I am thinking I may have them do the centerpieces too, and they said that would be $12 each. Looking at around $670 for all of the flowers. I think that's very reasonable.

I got my bouquet, four bridesmaid bouquets, 8 corsages and 12 boutonnieres for $170 on Amazon. I'll be buying a few more flowers on Amazon to add to my bouquet and use as decor, but that shouldn't be more than another $100-$150.

Definitely team artificial flowers, never a question to me. I refuse to spend thousands of dollars on something that's going to die right after the wedding, most artificial flowers look pretty realistic anyways. Even if someone knows they're fake, who cares? Smiley xd

We’re doing real flowers, ended up being $1,200. No pictures yet, wedding is October 13. I’m in NY and it can be expensive. We cut costs by doing a lot more greenery which works because that’s what I wanted anyway. Our florist also gave us more affordable options for flowers based on the season that will give a similar look to my example photos. I wish I knew the names of flowers but I’m horrible. I do believe she swapped burgundy dahlias for burgundy mums and instead of peonies, she did ranunculus and fuller roses.

Id be careful of fake flowers because good ones can run up fast and end up costing you almost the same plus your time.

My real flowers are being gifted to me, but they're coming from Kroger's floral department! The order includes 7 dozen roses, 15 bunches of baby's breath and 4 packs of greenery. It should come in under $300!

Amazon has BEAUTIFUL real touch flowers that, unless you smell them, you can't tell they are fake! I did that and saved thousands on flowers!!

I did real flowers from Sam’s & Costco! I ended up spending about $1100. It breaks down to 22 tables 13 of which I bought garland( we also added roses to them) which were 4/$100 (I ordered 4 packs) and I got extra for our sweetheart table. The rest were pedestal vase flower arrangements with a bunch of roses, eucalyptus, baby’s breath etc. 6 bridesmaids bouquets, 25ft garland for my arch, my bouquet and aisle decor/ flower girl petals. A florist quoted me $350 just for the garland for my arch and $65 for centerpieces. That would’ve been way more expensive. I really, really loved the flowers! They arrived in great shape!
