Flower Opinions

So I played around with flowers today. They're all artificial because of my allergies and budget. Nothing is super final yet so i can rearrange them. What do you guys think?
The wedding is Halloween vintage/gothic and the colors are black, burgundy, and gold.

I think these look beautiful but maybe substitute the pink flowers for some a little more orangey? The pink doesn't seem like it goes with you theme (which is awesome btw).

I agree! Something with an orange hue not necessarily orange though. I think burgundy and gold are gorgeous together!

I have been avoiding orange because black and orange looks like tacky Halloween. I will definitely look for an orange-pink, or gold-cream flowers next time I'm at Hobby Lobby.

Maybe something more in the peach family? A little bit of both.

I love the color scheme of your flowers. It balances out the dark burgundy with some lighter tones. Certainly go for what makes you comfortable (my guy is a DIY guru so our very small summer affair will be done almost entirely by him... including the artificial flowers and gazebo).

That was the goal! I wanted the burgundy to match the wedding colors and then used lighter colors to give it a vintage vibe. The venue is over 100 years old and my dress will have some vintage elements and wanted that vintage beauty vibe.

You think Hobby Lobby would let me bring the bouquet in to hold up to other flowers? I would be worried to try new colors and I got all those flowers just by holding them together at the store with my mother.

Thank you! I have been struggling with the colors thanks to too many beautiful Pinterest posts. So I decided to drag my mother to the store with me and play with colors.

And I definitely see some spots I could add some extra flowers for fluff.

Cute color scheme but I think the brighter colored flowers should maybe be replaced with darker colors to go with your theme better.

I would say go with what works for you, I don't think the flowers have to necessarily match your theme. Jmo

Those are my wedding colors! I have a burgundy, deep red and blush. I wanted something dark and romantic so i have black and gold table settings. I think it’s beautiful and i did find a lot of Pinterest ideas with this exact color scheme. I love it. When i first went to my florist she did that with a peachy color but i wanted blush and it works!

Totally know what you mean. I want teal and tangerine, and azure blue and fuchsia and safflower and dusty blue and rose gold and cornflower blue with peach and it goes on and on...

Yes Coral! I definitely think they will let you do that. Just make sure all the tags are off the ones you bring in and maybe say something to an employee as soon as you walk in so someone is aware you brought in your own stuff to be on the safe side. Smiley smile

I love the color combo and look of the main flower bundle and think it would be perfect for your theme. I am not feeling those orange string things hanging down though.
