Flower Girls Dress and Shoes

Mercedes, on January 5, 2022 at 10:09 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

Do I pay for my Flower Girls dress and shoes or do her parents pay? Both of her parents are also in the wedding so I'm guessing it's only fair that I should pay?

What are your thoughts?

Typically parents would pay. But you could buy it as a gift if you wanted to.

I don't agree that parents typically pay. Every wedding that I've been in the bride and groom paid for flower girl and ring bearer attire.

I don't know what is typical, but we are paying for our flower girl, ring bearer, and junior bridesmaid attire. They're 3 siblings and their mom is also in the wedding which is a lot to put on one family for a single day. We were able to budget to include their stuff in the cost so we wanted to. Plus, this way we don't have to worry about the cost of their stuff and wondering it it's too much to ask someone else to pay. If I buy a $200 flower girl dress then that's on me and they don't even have to know.

Usually the parents pay, but I think it'd be a sweet gift if you paid!
