Flower girl/ring bearer

Serena, on June 30, 2021 at 11:47 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
Is it appropriate to ask the parents of two kids that I have babysat for a few years now to be my flower girl and ring bearer? I love the family and the mom is a coworker of my future mother in law. Also I don’t have other options for flower girl/ring bearer.

I'd discuss it with your fiance first, then ask the parents of the kids how'd they'd feel about it. Don't be disappointed if they aren't comfortable with it, regardless of your relationship.

Flower girls/ring bearers are not required, and if you do not have a close relationship with any children, you can skip.

We have a lot of kids in our life, and we skipped it, anyway.

I don't see a problem with asking. They can only say yes or no.

If you are close with this family, I don't see why it would be an issue. They would probably be honored Smiley smile

Yes, and it’s pretty common to have kids you’ve been involved with to be in the wedding party. I was my babysitter’s flower girl, it was so fun!

I think so! My niece is a flower girl in her babysitters wedding- they also attend the same church. They’re not related but - it doesn’t seem to be an issue to them!

I think that would be a very sweet Idea I would ask the parents first before asking the kids
