We are having two flower girls at my wedding. Both are little and are excited about getting to 'throw' things. I am wanting to do fake flowers for my wedding. So naturally I have been looking for fake flower petals for them to throw. But I was just thinking of the mess that'll make for us to clean up in our yard. So I was wondering if anyone had any good alternative besides petals for them to throw. Or if there is place to maybe get real flower petals that won't cost a lot so I don't have to pick them up.

We had my niece throw the full fake rose/flower (They were red, but don't think they were roses) minus the stem. Made for easy pick up and still looked great

I don't know if it depends upon location, but I have heard of some going to a local florist store/location, in which they ask for any "leftover" flowers (whole or petals) and don't get charged for them because the florist looked at it as waste and was only going to throw it away.

Bubbles are a cute and fun alternative, plus the little ones will like it. For our send off, we are going to hole punch leaves and make natural confetti for them to throw. Maybe you could find discounted flowers after the coming holidays and dry the flower petals out to save them.
