Short answer: no. You can have the flower girl do whatever suits her best.

We aren’t, ours is five and her mom is just going to be doing her hair and then coming early to take photos. It totally depends on your flower and girl and her parents and if they are in the bridal party or already a part of the wedding in some other way. I wouldn’t want to invite the flower girl to get her hair done while her mom wouldn’t be having anything done which is our situation. Hope that helps!

Our flower girls were 5 and 7 at the time so I asked their mom about hair and makeup and she elected to have their hair and makeup professionally.

My Flower Girl’s soon to be step Mom (which is my FH’s sister who is also getting married) is one of my bridesmaids and she texted me and asked if I wanted (insert flower girl’s name) to get her hair done as well. We are getting our hair and makeup done professionally. So I’m at a loss on what to decide....

If your getting ready time is appropriate for kids, as in no crazy champagne or shots happening, I would invite her. It would make her more comfortable to be with her step mom and that would be a great bonding for them as well as cute picture opportunity. It’s up to you and you could even have one of your bridesmaid do her hair if it’s something simple to save money on getting it’s done professionally.

    Hello Sydney.

Short answer:No because it's optional for a MOH,bridesmaid, groomswoman, bestwoman. The same goes for FG. Plus: Unlike women, it's not common for a little girl to wear make up in her day-to-day life, she might feel uncomfortable. I may be wrong but you never know. I don't mean that a there's something wrong with the idea of a FG wearing make up, I mean you shouldn't sweat this.

They don’t have to. Her parents can do her hair however if you don’t really care. My flower girls are getting their hair done with us since their mom is my MOH and they are my nieces and I want them there!

They definitely don’t have to. My daughter was 6 when we got married and she got her hair and makeup done but that was something she was already pretty used to because of dance competitions.

Nope. nope. nope. that is ADULT time in my opinion. I got mine (I have two) flower crowns to wear so even if their hair is just down & plain, the flower crowns will add some whimsical fun. Smiley smile
