Flower Girl: Yes! Or Skip!

The Bride, on July 20, 2019 at 6:05 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 30
According to Reader's Digest, although the flower girl sprinkles flowers down the aisle just before the bride comes down, her main focus is to represent the transformation of the bride from a child to an adult.

Did you have a flower girl at your wedding why or why not?

Nope, venue doesn't allow throwing things as it on the ocean, plus we have so many girls in our lives it'd surely cause a scene 🤣

Our daughter will be our flower girl, but she will have a flower wand since we’re getting married outdoors in the mountains and practice leave no trace. For us, it was the perfect way to give both our son (6- ring bearer) and daughter (5) roles in the wedding so they feel like part of it. I think the reason behind the tradition is a little strange though and definitely outdated! I’ve been an adult for many years now without being married!

My two nieces will be our flower girls. I couldn’t imagine our day without them involved and partially in the spot light. 💐

Nope, no bridal party at all since it’s such a small wedding. I have nothing against flower girls, I even remember when I was one! Plus those fairy tutu dresses I’ve been seeing lately are adorable. My favorite “flower girl” version are the groomsman sprinkling flower petals because I find it so cute and hilarious. If I had a bigger wedding I’d absolutely do that.

Yep! I have one niece that will be my flower girl. She’s very important to me so I had to have her be my flower girl!

I thought about having a flower girl, but we decided not to. We don't think we need one Smiley smile

Nope. Now that you mention it, I looked and it doesn't look like a lot of people use runners at my venue either 🤔

No. I’m compromising by having kids at the wedding, but I put my foot down at having kids in the wedding party. I don’t want to deal with kids during my ceremony and there’s too many cousins, nieces, and nephews anyway to choose only a couple. It’s easier to just make it adults.
