Flower Girl will be a year and a half (19 months) at wedding any suggestions on how to include her?

Kelsey, on May 12, 2016 at 1:35 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 14

Our niece will be the flower girl at our wedding. We wouldn't want anyone else. I just want her to look adorable (as always) and have the title of flower girl. I originally thought of having her in a wagon that the boy would pull. However, she is walking and I don't know if she'll stay still or try to escape lol... so now I'm thinking of having her daddy just walk or carry her down the aisle... do ya'll have any other suggestions... also do ya'll know somewhere in can find a selection of dresses in her size... thanks in advance!!

I have seen a parent walk/carry a young child down the aisle. It's adorable. The simpler the better. Everyone understands that the person being escorted/carried is being honored. Make note in your program.

... the child was held during the processional and stood to the side as everyone else came down. Once everyone came down, Bride and Father came down, Father gave Bride to FH and all were seated the child and escort were seated with family.

My daughter will be out flower girl and will be just shy of 19 months. There is no way she would sit in a wagon lol. She's just gonna "walk" down with my grandmother. Honestly she'll prob throw the basket of flower petals at someone and take off. But she'll look cute!

Our daughter is the flower girl and will be 23 months.. she is walking in with my son who is the ring boy (man) cause he is 17 and he will be able to guide her down the aisle. I hope she can stay up there with us for a while but if not she can sit with grandma in the first row of seats.

I bought her dress from aliexpress and it was $10.34 (they have it in different colors) she is a size 3 now and i ordered a 4 and is perfect

My two flower girls are 19 months old as well. They will each hold a ring bearer's hand and walk down. We also plan to give them each a ribbon wand to hold or shake to help entertain them for the short walk down the aisle. Of course this is our plan. We know they may have their own agenda that day :-P

We have a flower girl who is 21 months. She's supposed to walk with a 5 yo ring bearer.... Hopefully it works out! She hates the dress!

My ring bearer will be right around the same age and we are going to have his dad walk beside him to kind of guide him in case he makes a run for it Smiley smile

I am having my almost 14 month old niece (by the wedding) be the flower girl. She is walking (or being carried down by her mother who is my MOH. I got her dress from Zulily for around $30. I also got another dress from Burlington for her to wear at rehearsal dinner (its white and my dress is ivory so I realized after that it would clash but it was too cute to return) which was only $20.

My flower girls will be one and two at the wedding. Gonna have my brother escort them down. The 2 year old will have a lightweight chalkboard sign and the 1 year old is either gonna have a kissing ball or a wand

My son was ring bearer and was 18 months at our wedding and he could walk just fine but we pulled him in a wagon to ensure he made it down the aisle. I've also seen an older member of the family like a grandma or grandpa pull the child in the wagon, kind of like oldest generation pulling youngest generation....

My niece is our flower girl and she'll be 2. We do not have a ring bearer. Her mom is the MOH, so I'm hoping she'll just walk toward her mom. I know she'll probably throw the basket at someone, laugh, and go the wrong way but that's what her grandma is there for Smiley smile

Do you have a set of grandparents where one has died? And maybe a grandma or grandpa would be alone? If so, it would be sweet for her to walk with them.

ETA: Even if you don't have any single grandparents, she could walk in between a set?

My son was 18 months in my fbil wedding. The plan was to have him walk with my older son (6 1/2). They planned the ceremony during what was normally his nap time and he would have no part of it. I ended up holding him in my lap before the ceremony started.
