Flower girl throwing flowers

I'd like to know too! My initial thought is no its not kiddish but would like to hear other opinions. My little cousin is the same age and she will be my flower girl

I didn't think so either but nowadays things I think are appropriate for an age group are "little kid things"

The duties of the position do not change with the age of the person. I think 7 is a perfectly acceptable age to toss some flowers around. My flower girl is a little spit fire, and I'm just hoping she doesn't run down The isle and wack her brother with the basket of petals...**snickers**

My flower girl will be 8 and I'm planning for her to throw flower petals. I don't think it's too kiddish.

My FG was 9 and she threw flower petals. She didn't have any issues with doing so. She was quite thrilled to be a part of the wedding and excited to be FG.

I don't think she is too old . There is an alternative. My niece was thrilled to be the flower girl at my cousin's wedding at the same age. She didn't toss petals.. She passed out single flowers to the women in aisle seats.

It's actually better. Younger flower girls have a tendency to forget or dump rather than scatter. Which is why my 5 year old FG is getting a flower wand instead of basket of petals :-)

2 of my flower girls will be 8 and they can't wait to throw flowers. One is doing the right side, the other the left side.

My daughter is our flower girl. She will almost be 8 at the time odd the wedding and is very excited about throwing flowers. We told her when we first started planning all about it and she had loved the idea since day one. Just ask her. At 7 she should be able to understand and say yes or no.

My niece did it for my brother's wedding at the age of 7 and is excited to do it at mine when she's 8. She keeps "practicing" and all I can see is flowers more on guests than the ground. Gotta love her spunk

Usually around 9 or 10 they start looking a little too old to be throwing flowers. But even at that age, they can get away with it. 7 isn't a problem!

My flower girl will be 2 by the time our wedding hits ... I'm a fan of tiny flower girls just so cute .. my older daughters ( will be 8 and 10 ) are giving me away

My niece will be 8 and is totally stoked. "She's been practicing" hahaha It makes them feel special. Depends on the kids tho I guess.
