Flower girl questions!

Ingrid, on April 1, 2021 at 11:54 AM Posted in Planning 0 24

I am looking into flower girl dresses, and I'm having a little trouble finding ones. We will be having three flower girls, all around the age 3-4. The problem is that I can't just get all the moms and go shopping together.. One of them lives in a different state, and another one lives around 4 hours away from me. And life is busy anyways, so the best option is to find dresses online.

I have been looking at David's Bridal, they do have some cute ones but they go out of stock fast!!! I'll keep David's Bridal as an option, but has anybody found or bought dresses from other websites like Etsy, amazon..?

Also! I know the mom of the girls are the ones that usually buy the dresses, but I completely forgot about the baskets with the flower petals.. Who buys those? Should I buy the baskets? And where do I find cheap and nice ones?

Just go to the local Ross/Burlington and get similar white dresses (Easter in stock right now). Err with a size larger so they can grow into it depending on how far away your date is. Also baskets are plentiful now with Easter so get one cheap that way.

You can also check out department stores. We got 1 of the flower girl dresses at Macy's and just ordered it online. There are tons of great and cheap options around Easter time. You would be responsible for the baskets and flower petals. I got mine from Hobby Lobby. You can also probably find stuff on Amazon.

I ended up getting mine on jcrew kids. But I would definitely try looking on Amazon only because you can get them for the lowest price and the return process is super easy in my opinion

Check out Azazie, a reputable online shop for bridal attire (including flower girl dresses). Their options are cute and affordable and may be the easiest way to get the dresses for your flower girls since everyone is in different locations.

Did you want them all to match? What style were you looking for? Do you want it to be a lot of tule and bridal like or did you want it to be more toned down like this Flower girl questions! 1

Amazon, Macy's and even Wal-Mart have really cute dresses for little girls. Right now is a good time to look, since all of the Easter dresses are out.

It doesn't have to be specifically "flower girl" dress. Just something pretty in the right color is fine. I would stay away from the "bridal" stores, as those dresses will certainly be more expensive, and harder to find in stock.

I got my FG dress from Etsy and the basket from Amazon. Your florist should be able to give you petals the day of.

We got our flower girl dresses and baskets from Amazon. Azazie also has good dress options. You should definitely buy the baskets and flowers, they’re not responsible for decorating your aisle.

I think I do want them matching and I honestly don't really mind the tulle. I actually just found these two cute ones. I will keep looking but what do you think about these?

Thank you! I will do that! I was thinking on buying the baskets and letting the girls just keep them to play and all? I don't know if that's usually what people do but I mean, I'm not gonna use those baskets after the wedding and I wouldn't know what to do with them. What do you think?

My mother-in-law made our flower girls dresses, but my mom ordered back up dresses from Amazon because my mother-in-law didn't have them done until the day before the wedding. The key if you go with Amazon is to read reviews. Below are the ones we ordered, but they didn't end up wearing them since my mother-in-law finally finished the ones she was making. As for baskets and petals, I would say that since they are a prop for your wedding that you should buy them. We got our flower girls baskets from Etsy. They were very nice, but unfortunately it looks like the seller no longer sells things on Etsy so I can't provide a link.

We got ours from Macy's during a big Labor Day sale. If I were you, I would check right after Easter to take advantage of the sales! The mother of our flower girls purchased the dresses, but we consulted with her about her budget and what she was comfortable spending before we started looking. I would definitely plan to make sure all the moms of your flower girls are on the same page regarding budget before you select the dresses. We purchased the baskets and petals ourselves. We got those from Etsy.
