Oh my god this idea in itself is so cute.
I think it'd be cute to get them a proposal box with various things.. maybe find something with a flower and ask with a card

That is so cute!!
When my FH and I asked our flower girl, we got “flower girl” embroidered on Mickey Ears (because she Loves Disney) and gave them to her at Disney!
So I would say, incorporate things they like! It’ll make it cute and personal!
