Flower Girl, Navy Blue Tights and Shoes or White?

Elizabeth, on October 22, 2020 at 4:20 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

I plan on wearing the blue dress, and having the matron of honor wear the floral dress, the junior bridesmaid/usher wear the pink dress, and the flower girl wear the Black Watch tartan dress. I, the matron of honor, and the junior bridesmaid/usher will wear Black Watch tartan shawls. We will also be wearing white stockings and shoes. Now, here is my question: initially, I was thinking of having the flower girl wear navy blue tights and shoes, but do you think it would be better to have her wear white to match the rest of us?

No one will be able to see yours or your MOH's stockings and shoes. So it really comes down to if you want the junior bridesmaid/usher and flower girls tights to match. Their outfits are SO different, that I think their tights should be whatever works best for their own outfit.

I agree with pp that there is so much variation in what everyone is wearing, that I don't think consistency of stockings & shoes will be much of an issue -- it's going to be pretty eclectic regardless. Depending on what the weather is like in April at your location, I'd think white would be more "spring" appropriate (especially since all the other dresses are pastel shades). But, if April will still be more winter-like weather, then navy might work. It looks like you have a pretty strong Victorian/Irish theme going on, so as long as your choices coincide with that it should work.

I think either navy or white works well!! I'd lean towards white since it will match the rest of the group and help keep the colors a little lighter! Smiley heart

Always match the dressy, not other people. Only a sports team matches each other's accessories, not their own outfit.
