Flower girl dresses

Morgan, on September 12, 2019 at 5:33 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8
Ok past the fear of one of the flower girls not wanting to do it in my last post... I’m having three flower girls total. One is my daughter. Is it standard that they all three should match? My fiancé and I were trying to think of a way my daughter could stick out a little differently but I haven’t came up with anything. Any help is great! Thanks

Our flowergirls aren't matching because they're so far apart in age and it would be difficult to find a dress to fit them both.

I don't think flower girls have to match! How about a little flower crown for your daughter?

I don't think they have to match exactly. If it were me, I would make sure they simply complemented each other's outfits. Like a PP said, the girls might be far apart in their ages, so a dress that's appropriate for a 3 year old may be too babyish for a 9 year old (for example). But you can have them in the same color scheme, and/or a similar style dress. In fact, I like the idea of complementary more than "matching".

I think as long as your keep they're outfits complementary, they should be fine. My flower girl is a bridesmaid's daughter and all I asked was that the dress be all white. In return I would get her something to go with her outfit. A trip to Ross and $10 later, I think she did pretty well.

I would say so long as the colors are the same and styles are somewhat similar it should be fine to be different dresses. As long as they compliment each other well as Cristy above suggested, it would work great!!

My brother had two flower girls that did not match and it looked baaaaad. Probably because one of them had a much more expensive dress than the other and was done up much more. I don't think they have to match necessarily but I would make sure their similar quality and flow together

My flower girl and ring bearer were in the same dress just in different colors. Maybe put the two that aren't your daughter in the same color and your daughter in another.
