Flower Girl Dresses - tights? shoes?

Amanda, on January 6, 2012 at 11:07 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

Hi, I am getting married in March in an outdoor ceremony. The weather should be sunny and in the low-mid 60s which may be chilly for the little ones. I am considering plum flower girl dresses so does anyone have suggestions for the color tights, shoes, cardigan for the flower girls? If I pick a white flower girl dress, they could wear all white but the plum is my preference so not sure about white stockings and white shoes with a plum dress? Thank you for any advice

I would go with black or ivory.

I agree with Stacie on the ivory color...I would not have black.

I agree, probably not black. The bridesmaids are wearing a light grey pewter and our wedding is more rustic. I am wondering if I will need to bag the plum and just stick with a soft white flower girl dress as that will be the easiest to match cardigan, tights, and shoes. A little time to think about itSmiley smile

Can you get nude tights??? my flower girls wore nude tights...and yes, apparently tights come in nude...I had no idea! Our wedding was outdoors in the mid 60's too.

I love the idea that you want them in a plum colored dress...I think it will look beautiful. Plus, you don't see many flower girls in colored dresses...I always think the bride and only the bride should be in white...I never understood putting flower girls in white dresses too....guess it's a personal preference Smiley smile

The picture is so helpful! Thank you! Plum dresses with nude tights and black shoes/flats might work.

Pewter and plum go great together! Why not plum dresses with pewter grey tights and grey cardigans? They could wear those adorable flower headbands to go with it....
