Flower Girl Dress Timetable

You can get away without alterations for lots of girls' dresses, depending on their age and size. Kids don't really get a lot wider after a certain point, just taller. Most girls' dresses that have a ribbon sash at the waist can simply be tied a little tighter if it is too big. As long as the dress fits at the shoulders, the length isn't a big deal. A floor length dress could be ankle length, a midi dress could be knee length and no one but you will know.

When is your wedding? Mine is the end of May. We are hoping to score some deals with Easter and Communion dresses/suits for our flower girl and ring bearer. Kids grow fast so that might not be an option for you to guarantee their fit.

If you are renting the ring bearers clothes, 6 weeks was recommended to me. Agree with the girls dresses as above.

My wedding is August 4 . 18 and Iam having my niece and my friends daughter also my own daughter as well and I’m having them get a dress no later than June so I would say 2-3 months before the wedding in case they need to add or take of anything or exchange dress

My FG's mom got her dress after Christmas during a sale, I don't see it needing any alterations. And for the RB he got his outfit yesterday, so about a month before the wedding.

I'm ordering them this summer for an October wedding because I'm afraid that the flower girls and the ring bearer will get a growth spur.
